Hello Friends,
I am Dr. Mel Glamor, Chief Chemist, PhD, with PELASKIN.COM. I have couple questions for you:
- How happy are you with the condition of your skin? Could your skin look better?
- Are you sure that you are using your skincare products in the right order? I ask because it can impact the quality of your skin!
Many women have contacted me and asked me to create a blog about this topic. I cover this important topic since if you apply skincare products the wrong way or apply them in excess amounts or excess layers, this may lead to skin problems that may include skin suffocation, overloading or skin sensitization!
A rule of thumb to remember: We start applying initially the thinner products and afterwards the thicker products.
Here is the order that I apply my own anti-aging PELA SKIN products:
- Cleanser
- Toner Pads or Toner Solution
- Serum. I use one of my 3 Anti-Aging Serums
- Eye Cream
- At the end, if it is night, I Use one of my 3 Night Moisturizers
- At the end, if it is morning, I use my Day Moisturizer with SPF 40, and that’s it. Alternatively, in the morning, I use my night moisturizer Antarctic Regenerating Crème, and finish with a sunscreen broad spectrum with SPF 30+.
- Clarification for Morning Routine: If you use a regular moisturizer without effective SPF broad spectrum, then after using your regular moisturizer you need to finish with a sunscreen broad spectrum with SPF 30+. For day use, make sure that your regular moisturizer does not contain Glycolic Acid or Retinol or Retinoids, or any other ingredients that can increase your skin sensitivity to the sun’s damaging UV rays.
